Overview

What you can do

  • Convert between WGS84, GCJ02 and BD09 longitude/latitude coordinate systems.
  • View input and results in one panel to reduce longitude/latitude order mistakes from repeated copying.
  • Use the converted result to locate and visually check a point on the map.
  • Choose source and target coordinate systems in one interface, then copy and compare results.

How it works

Get started in three steps

  1. 01

    Identify the source system

Check whether the original coordinates come from GPS, a Chinese web map or Baidu Maps before selecting the input system.

  2. 02

    Enter coordinates

Enter longitude and latitude as labeled and select the target coordinate system.

  3. 03

    Check the location

Read the result and check the map position. Cross-check important uses against authoritative data.

Before you begin

Device performance, data sources and target software can affect results. Check your output before use.

  • Coordinate conversion changes the coordinate representation; it does not improve the accuracy of the original measurements.
  • This tool does not guarantee survey-grade or engineering-grade accuracy. High-stakes uses require authoritative parameters and professional verification.
  • You remain responsible for longitude/latitude order, valid ranges and identifying the source coordinate system.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do WGS84, GCJ02 and BD09 differ?

WGS84 is common in GPS and international datasets. GCJ02 is common in mainland Chinese web maps. BD09 is used by Baidu Maps.

Why might the result still be offset?

Conversion does not correct measurement errors, an incorrect source system, reversed longitude and latitude or poor source data quality.

Can I use it for engineering setting out?

This is not recommended. Engineering projects require specified parameters, authoritative software and professional review.
